A production of the Transportation, Communications, and Educational Television Departments, this video covers the basic school bus and pedestrian safety rules and is designed for use with a broad range of grade levels. The video is designed for classroom use and for distribution to parents and guardians. It is available on a four language DVD and single language VHS in English, Hmong, Spanish, and Somali.

The Safety Squadron Rides the School Bus
The Safety squadron is an upbeat animated video designed to help young students understand school bus safety rules. The video features Zipp the dragonfly who teaches about bus stop safety, Busby the school bus who explains the danger zone, and Pat the bus driver who speaks about safety inside the bus.
The Transportation Department has obtained modification and reproduction rights to this nationally acclaimed school bus safety video. In addition to the original English version, the video has been converted into the predominant languages spoken by District students. School staff may order combined English, Hmong, Spanish and Somali versions on a single DVD, or language specific VHS tapes, for claassroom use or distribution to parents of Kdgn through 3rd grde students who ride the school bus.

My School Bus Safety Video
Focuses on educating young children about school bus safety and to recognize
potential hazards associated with school bus transportation. Discusses loading
and unloading, rules while riding on the bus, and waiting for the bus. Emphasizes
the "danger zone" located immediately around the outside of the
school bus, the importance of following the driver's rules and signals,

Pooh's Great School Bus Adventure
This nationally award winning video features Winnie the Pooh and the Hundred-Acre Wood characters who find themselves boarding the school bus to find Christopher Robin. This provides the perfect opportunity to review school bus safety rules, including what students should do while they wait for the bus, once they board and ride it, and when they unload from the bus. It's a dramatic story with a catchy original song.

School Bus/Ped Safety with Rae the Mime
Designed for primary students and focused on urban areas this video provides a very comprehensive array of potential dangers children might encounter on their journeys to and from the bus loading and unloading areas, on the playground, and while riding the school bus. The video provides basic rules to follow in avoiding, recognizing and dealing with some of these dangers. The video is organized around the safety rules depicted by icons, and covers walking to and from bus loading/unloading areas, boarding and exiting the bus safely, on bus behavior, and crossing streets in urban areas.

A student spends some time in the driver’s shoes, confronts a bus load of misbehaving adults, and suddenly realizes that there is a valid reason for every safety rule. Otto the Auto on School Bus Safety
Four presentations on school bus safety featuring Otto the Auto
Before You Go on the Bus — Provides tips for getting to the bus stop safely. Encourages children to walk, not run, organize their belongings in a book bag or backpack, and be on time.
Waiting for and Getting on the Bus — Teaches children to stand back from the bus stop, avoid playing around, and board the bus in an orderly fashion.
Safe Behavior on the Bus — Teaches kids the importance of remaining seated on the bus, keeping clear of the aisle, and allowing the driver to drive free of distractions.
The Danger Zone — Discusses the dangers of walking too close to a school bus, and shows kids areas around the bus where they cannot be seen by the driver.
