| School Bus Driver Discipline, Suspension, and Removal From Service |  | The School District expects that all school buses shall be operated in a safe and defensive manner by school bus drivers without a history of serious moving violations in either commercial motor vehicles or personal vehicles.
Drivers who commit serious moving violations, including speed over 5 miles per hour over the posted speed limit, shall be subject to discipline specified in the contract for transportation services, including permanent removal from all service to the School District.

Driver Discipline and Disqualification under the Transportation Contract
The School District requires that all vehicles performing District transportation service will be operated in a safe and defensive manner so as to reflect a positive image of the School District and the employing contractor. Drivers violating the provisions of these Specifications, or District operational and safety guidelines, including those making unauthorized stops, speeding, misusing the eight light system, committing repeated moving violations, or engaged in other unsafe or illegal activities shall be subject to removal from service for the District. |
Moving Violations
Under the terms of the contract for transportation services moving violations committed by a school bus driver, including some violations in his/her personal vehicle, shall result in disciplinary action up to and including removal from all District service. |
