David Peterson Elected Chair of NASDPTS State Association Council

David Peterson, Transportation Department Accountant, has been elected Chair of the National
Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS) State Association Council.
This makes David a voting member of the (NASDPTS) Board of Directors.

New School Patrol Training Video

Saint Transportation Department has released a new School Patrol Training video. This production, which is specific to Saint Paul, has been provided to Patrol Supervisors at all Saint Paul Public and nonpublic schools. Additional information is available from Mark Vogel at 265-0913.

First Student Fleet 100% GPS Equipped

First Student, one of four school bus contractors providing transportation to District students, has equipped all buses operating on District routes with Geo Positioning Systems. For the 2007-2008 school year, First Student operates 228 of the District's 359 routes.

Blue Bird Body Company Sold

FORT VALLEY, Ga. - School bus and motor coach maker Blue Bird Corp. is
being acquired by an affiliate of private investment firm Cerberus
Capital Management LP, the companies said Friday.
