Lt. Henry Winterhalter

Each school year the Saint Paul Police School Patrol Supervisor carefully monitors the performance of each of the school patrols in Saint Paul. Patrols are rated on use of patrol flags and control of intersections, handling of students in patrol lines, consistency in wearing traffic vests, care of equipment, and overall operations.

Frost Lake Elementary School Principal Anna Erbes and School Patrol Supervisor Jan Stafford receive the first Winterhalter Outstanding School Patrol Award from Officer Jim Wicklund in June of 1992

June the School Patrol Officer reviews the records of all of the school patrols in Saint Paul and choses the Patrol of a public, non-public, or charter school to receive the Winterhalter Outstanding School Patrol Award.  This award is given by the Saint Paul Public Schools in memory of Lieutenant Henry Winterhalter who supervised the Saint Paul School Patrol Program for 30 years.
